Imagine standing in the middle of a plantation in the mountains of Honduras, surrounded by morning mist and pear trees. The air is filled with the aroma of ripe dark grapes, juicy pears, and a berry mix straight from a wild forest. You take a sip — and feel how this fruity jam wraps itself in caramel… warm and thick. The aftertaste is so rich, you just want to stay silent — close your eyes and enjoy the moment a little longer.
This coffee comes from the Montecillos region, where Pacamara varieties are grown at elevations of up to 1550 meters. This is a land with no large factories or plants — only small farms where every cherry is hand-picked with care and experience. Honduras Las Calaveras is like a heartfelt conversation somewhere high in the mountains, when it’s raining outside, and in your hands — something honest and delicious that inspires you to live and create.
The farm Finca Las Calaveras was founded in 1986 by Carlos Alonso Castillo, after many years of working on other farms and gaining experience. Today, it’s two generations of coffee farmers striving to produce high-quality coffee — and they’re doing it exceptionally well :)
