At 1825 meters above sea level, the microclimate is on point: misty mornings, temperature swings, and nutrient-rich soil all play a role. The Geisha beans are processed using the full honey method — leaving a bit of mucilage to give the cup more sweetness and depth. Behind this gem is the family-run microfarm Café Rivense del Chirripó, founded by Rejulo Ureña and Isabel Rojas in 2005. They manage it with a focus on sustainability — protecting water sources, planting fruit trees for wildlife, and feeding the soil with organic matter instead of chemicals. Every coffee batch is carefully sorted, processed, dried, and packed right on the farm — full control for maximum flavor.

And yep, this very farm landed in the Cup of Excellence top 5 in 2019 with their Vista al Chirripó Caturra Honey lot. Pretty solid reason to give it a try, right? ;)
