Honduras HG EP is a variety characterized by a soft, balanced acidity and a rich taste with a pleasant bitterness. Its aroma features notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and spices. In taste, it prominently combines cocoa, hazelnut, and peaty whisky.
The beans have undergone wet processing and possess all the qualities for creating a tasty cup of coffee with a long, sweet aftertaste.
This coffee is grown in Honduras, the largest coffee producer in Central America. Harvesting takes place from November to April, and local farmers often prefer manual harvesting. Today, coffee in this country is mainly produced on small farms, where each batch of beans undergoes careful control by local farmers.
